Current Institutional Configuration

In the turning of the 2000, we gathered almost 400 visitors from the five continents. They came to participate in the feasts of the end of the year and in the meetings of our I World Encounter of the People of Juramidam. With this, we closed that long 26 year-old cycle of institutional perfecting. Our Church is legally constituted and registered, as well as its new Statutes and Guidelines. A Superior Doctrinaire Council is formed by 12 members, three of them are lifelong and honorable members: Madrinha Rita - counselor; Pad. Alfredo - Presidente and Immediate Master; Pad Waldete, Vice-president and Commandant. An Administrative Council of 3 members was also constituted to care for its patrimony.

Our Institute also has an Administrative Directory, a Fiscal Council and a General Secretary formed by 4 secretaries: Associative, Communication, Planning and Finances. With this new format we are ready to enter into the new millennium and to guide our spiritual, community and environmental work for next decades.

Our Churches should be renewing and constituting their local commissions. We are motivating the formation of Councils to care for the Ritual and for the Doctrine at the local level. We will begin a Plan for Staff and Leaders Formation and we are motivating a larger and quicker change of leaderships and functions. Regional Council of Representatives are also being created, they should indicate the representatives for the Assembly of Representatives taking place in the Annual Encounter of Churches.

The local fraternities, on the other hand, also should take advantage of the old structure and the associative bows of old CEFLURIS and constitute the local sessions and the regional offices of the IDA CEFLURIS.

Depending on the characteristic of each point or community, they should create a cooperation net with the local ONGs, connecting our work in the Amazon with the preservation of other ecosystems.

Now we began studying the last part of our institutional reform, that deals with the formation and amplification of an agricultural and extraction cooperative that is already in process. Its main objective is to work on several projects of self-sustainable development in the areas of community, health, education, drying of fruits, nurseries of seedlings, bank of seeds, extraction of oils, crafts, weaving, telecommunications and etc.

Here we are, as guardians of the forest, wanting to preserve not only its beauty and natural diversity but also to rescue the sacred meaning of its existence.
